CD34 is a sialomucin-like adhesion molecule expressed on hematopoietic stem cells.  It is also expressed on the cell surfaces of vascular endothelial cells. Anti-CD34 antibody is used to detect endothelial cells in tissue sections in applications such as measuring blood vessel density in human tumors. It can also be used to identify and isolate CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells from bone marrow or circulating blood.

Stability: The antibody is stable at 4°C for >six month or can be stored in working aliquots at -20°C (add 50% glycerol) for more than a year. 
 
Cross-Reactivity: The antibody recognizes human CD34. Other species not tested.
 
Specificity: The antibody was carefully tested for its ability to recognize human CD34 in immunohistology. It works well with paraffin embedded sections while no special treatment is needed to retrieve antigens. The antibody also works in FACS sorting.

Immunostaining/Immunohistochemistry: Use 0.5-1µg/ml

FACS: Use 1µg/ml

Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
